helpful staff quick check-in
The staff proved really helpful. Check-in was quick. The lounge has a lovely art deco style. Tea, coffee, and pastries are available all day. The hotel is in a central location on a quiet street. A metro station is nearby. Reception is manned 24/7.
The room was slightly smaller than I expected.

inadequate soundproofing loud noise
the staff was friendly and helpful, answering all my questions promptly.
my room faced an interior courtyard, and the noise from other guests was quite loud. the soundproofing was inadequate, and i could hear conversations and doors slamming late into the night. this made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

Acceptable Stay. Some Issues Noted
small room poor breakfast
The room was rather small. A real issue for more than one guest. Breakfast lacked variety, I found it underwhelming for the cost. The location, while near transport, isn't close to major attractions. Better locations exist closer to landmarks. I think the hotel is not good value.

breakfast room poor wifi
the staff was cordial, i have to admit.
room 605 was a disgrace. it faced the breakfast room, that was annoying. a soundproof door didn't block guests noise eating, laughing, and talking, waking me. the wifi barely worked too.
